Good for him. He outplayed his academy contract and deserves the salary bump. He has been very well-regarded in the academy set-up, from what I have heard anecdotally. Very keen competitive edge and a resilient character.

He's very, very young for a senior tighthead, loads of room for growth and improvement.
Hmmm - last couple of days look like beefing up our TH roster. In advance of somebody moving off it? Either to LH or to another team
Michael Bent is returning to NZ.
Yeah I know. We lose Bent. We sign a new TH, upgrade an academy TH (early?) (and announce Vakh is back I think). It feels like the TH side is being stacked - it just feels it's being prepped for "really sensible decision" to balance the props - Porter to LH or Munster.
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Search S&C and you'll probably find it then. But all you'll find is "bUt wE geT So MaNy InJUriEs" backed up by no stats to compare our injury rate to other rugby clubs, a couple of stats that show our injury rate actually isn't bad compared to other clubs. Evidence that other sports teams pay very large sums of money to access injury prevention systems that were developed by people at Leinster Rugby. And evidence that S&C staff that work for Leinster are very sought after by teams in all sorts of sports.

If you want to know about the theory behind Leinsters S&C program there are couple of articles about it but you won't get anything from the S&C conversation that certain users bring up over and over on here because the conversation never gets that far because its very quickly established that the people that start the conversion haven't the slightest what they're talking about.

I thought Hawkshaw was decent in the few outings he had this season; seems more suited to 12 than 10

likely not until after the u20 6 nations would be my guess. but it's anyone's guess tbh, usually no logic to when it's announced.

Based on his performances you hardly think Tim Corkery deserves an academy spot?

what I think hardly matters when it comes to who will be in the academy next season.

saying that I do not write off a 19 year old based off of one A game, he has spent two seasons in the sub-academy and has played for the senior team at 19.. he is obviously talented so I'm not going to be outraged if he is in the academy next season.

For sure, would have the opposite reaction there — the fact he has played senior rugby already practically guarantees he’s in the academy. Many players aren’t trusted on the pitch until Y2 / Y3.

Fair enough.
Somehow I thought this was his 3rd year already.
Hopefully he gets a break with injuries either way.

Wasn't sure where to ask this, please redirect to another thread if appropriate.

When the Centre of Excellence in Donnybrook opened in 2019, it was said that four further facilities were planned for the Midlands, North-Midlands, South-East and the North-East. Does anyone have any news of developments on this front?
