Balls! That's a long time out right? Worse or better from a healing perspective then ACL?
Not as bad as an ACL usually.

Good to hear! Hopefully he gets back sooner rather then later. He's been in great form

I remember writing a post that detailed the amount of time our backrows missed last season with injury, but I'll be damned if I know what thread it was in! The backrow as a unit [any team's backrow] is an injury factory.

I see that Kieran Campbell is heading to Ealing as well so they’re obviously splashing the cash and serious about becoming a top club, could end up being a Steenson/Exeter situation for Kelleher.

Seems like really strange timing considering he was only appointed 20’s coach in January but I guess Covid means there’ll be a load of surprising moves.

It could be that the Ealing owner sees it as a now or never situation. The rumours about stockading the Premiership are stronger than they have ever been in my memory.

Head Coach Leo Cullen has issued a squad injury update ahead of Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 Final against Munster (RDS Arena, KO 5pm).

There was positive news on Luke McGrath who has passed the Graduated Return to Play Protocols and is due to train this week.

Seán Cronin came through the game against Ospreys with no issues after his return from a back injury.

Vakh Abdaladze will also look to increase his involvement in team training this week as he continues to recover from a back injury.

Garry Ringrose, James Ryan, Will Connors and Rowan Osborne will all be unavailable this week.

Ringrose picked up an ankle injury while away with Ireland and will be unavailable for a number of weeks.

Connors suffered a knee injury while training with Ireland and will be unavailable for up to eight weeks.

Ryan is continuing to follow the Graduated Return to Play Protocols and will be unavailable for selection.

Osborne picked up a fracture to his hand and will undergo surgery this week.

No new injury update – Unavailable for selection:

Cian Kelleher (hamstring), Jimmy O’Brien (hamstring), Tommy O’Brien (ankle), Adam Byrne (quad), Caelan Doris (concussion), Dan Leavy (knee), Conor O’Brien (knee) and Max Deegan (knee).

Probably had another year in him but if it means having budget for all the younger highly rated players I’ve no issue with him heading off. Dunne needs to con through at this stage and the three in the academy look promising

not sure Molony, Dunne and the three in the academy will be enough next season when Ryan/Baird are with Ireland.

We got Murphy and maybe Rhys if we’re stuck, if it means we have budget to keep all the back rows player and young centres I’d take it. People think we’re over stocked but most weeks we’re struggling to get a team out.

I'm not ITK on contracts, but one thing I've learned over the last ten or fifteen years is that rumour and speculation, even in national newspapers, are wrong just as often as they are right. I certainly remember Luke Fitzgerald 'signing for Munster' in the past!

Should keep the Tower for another year. His experience is important and the young lads can learn a lot about lineout play from him

I reckon we'll keep Dev. We just don't have enough depth there atm. Fardy his off, I'd assume. Ryan and Baird will be regular internationals. Dunne is not at all an established player.
So Molony and who, then?
Unless there are plans to dip into the Leinster diaspora again? Thornbury? Certainly not the O'Conners up North.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!
