Thanks for the stats! Don’t forget that he was playing out of position and as part of a sloppy team performance overall, he really stepped up and was exceptional.

Thought Luke was top class as well. Had that clearout and the rip that I mentioned earlier and then his covering was excellent as always and he took his try well with a typical trailing line. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when JGP comes back because I think he’s improved a lot of the weaker elements of his game, his box kicking is really top notch now.

Josh VDF was very good as well, it’s no surprise at this stage but his engine is phenomenal.

Edit: Dooley good too.

Pretty sloppy outside of those three although I thought ROL was good in parts and I think our lineout has improved.

Glasgow were good tonight tbf. The red card was the right call but I can't imagine that he meant it. Apart from the red and 2 yellows for Glasgow it was clear that Frank Murphy is a gibbon and still hates us.

Poor oul Toland was desperate for Glasgow to win, must have killed him to give the MOTM to a ladyboy.

Thought Harry Byrne was exceptional before he went off......what is Farrell thinking re Billy Burns, don't get it.....but anyway we get to see Harry in blue so it's fine.....

Aside from that Penny and VDF were incredible. Lots of learning for some of the young lads who got schooled at times but it's all positive stuff.

Good result for us in the end after a game that turned very difficult for us when Harry Byrne went off.

Glasgow had a lot of quality players in their side but look like a team with low esprit de corps. They contributed to beating themselves – obviously Hastings' red card had a big impact, but I think that the soft 14 points they gave up in the first 10 minutes was a bigger issue. They were stuck in the blocks and gave themselves too much ground to make up.

Obviously not a very sharp performance, but a bonus point win and 40 points on the board is always a good result.

Dan impressed me again when he came on. His open field play with ball in hand is great to watch. Thought a couple of the older generation looked way off the pace. Think thats the first game I’ve seen where Cronin is not explosive in. Toner also was looking out on his feet, but like the true warrior he is he kept trying to make tackles to the end. Fardy looked out in the 1st half but in fairness think he put in a shift in the 2nd half

Peter Dooley put in another decent shift but missed one or two tackles. That was a feature of the game, the number of tackles missed. We really need to sharpen up for next week. It wasn’t systems breakdown or clever deception. Just failing to make the tackle stick.
