Could all be immaterial.
The French government could cause the European season to collapse.
The EPRC is proposing measures to try to keep it going, but I think the French are still spooked by the UK variant. https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2021/010 ... ment-call/
I predict we'll beat Munster in the Final by 2 COVID close contacts to 3 (after extra time)
I reckon they should include a coronavirus metric for deciding tied teams alright!
Possibly a swab test off could be a way forward to decide the cup, test everyone and you get a point for each negative test, done over zoom of course.....
Exclusive: final two rounds of Champions Cup are to be postponed with EPCR expecting official confirmation from French govt today. Travel ban on cross-border elite sport will also plunge Six Nations into doubt. Story at @TelegraphSport
Murray Kinsella reporting the same at the42.ie. Postponement of Heino fixtures could possibly see Leinster travelling to Limerick to play Munster next weekend.

It was pretty inevitable this season wouldn’t be concluded without interruption.
Still a major bummer.
The rugby always helps get through these shitty months.

Geez - if they use predictive points on the basis of where respective squads went to school - we'll be well and truly farged!

Competition has officially been suspended
This is really serious for Leinster and there's no reason to suggest the 6 Nations will not go the same way. Financially rugby in this country is very much on a knife edge.
The papers are indicating that one of the options available now is to abandon the last two rounds and go straight into a last 16 knockout competition. In that scenario we'd be at home to Gloucester.
I suppose at least it would be a competitive game as the last two rounds were looking more and more like a lot of teams weren't going to bother.

Gloucester are bottom of the prem I think. Not doing great so am not sure if it would be THAT competitive.
Worried about 6N now. only a few weeks to the opening game.
Hopefully the pro14 will fill up this weekend and the following weekend with postponed matches or bring the rounds forward while the internationals are still with clubs.
Presumably it’s too tight a turnaround to schedule another Pro12 match for this weekend? No booze is difficult but throw in no rugby and I might crack!

Damnit, I had just finished my draft screenplay adaption of Clermont v Munster. I might have to tone it down to a miniseries now.
sorry to burst your balloon but I had heard that the movie rights for this had already been sold for billions, leading Hollywood movie moguls were fighting over it saying it was the greatest epic of all time and would make Ben Hur look like an episode of Friends........
JT is saying they are now likely to keep the last 16 round 'Inter-Pool' in which case we would be home to Sale, with a possible QF V Munster should we both advance.

Tougher test then the original idea I'd say
Who do they have Munster down to play as that club might be our QF opponents.
