I'll be very surprised if he isn't cited for that.

Crazy. The game will eat itself with this kind of refereeing. Not impressed with the b*%&!x being spouted by Drico and Hartley either. Ryle Nugent was talking sense, never thought I'd say that!

Hopefully the ref too for a lack of regard to player safety

Baird has a nice edge to his game.

It’s a yellow minimum by the high tackle framework. It’s one thing for the ref to not see it, but to review it and come to the conclusion that it’s fine is outrageous.

A tackle milliseconds late you can't have, but shoulders to heads and no arm tackles are fine.

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Thought it was similar to the red last night too. That was a tackle rather than a clear out but a red was rightly given without much fuss even though it was only 6/7 minutes in.
Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
TMO - needs to step up there - he knew it was an issue - hence the call to review.....then f*uckin wimps out when it comes to engagement with the ref..

Really sloppy performance from us.
Conditions, injuries and withdrawals played into it, but we should've had 1-2 more tries and been far more comfortable.
Scrum and lineout are a real worry. Against better sides it will cost us losses.

It'll be an achievement if we make a semi final this year because there is absolutely no way you can win this tournament with that lineout.

Did my eyes deceive me or did Luke knock Nairarovoyo over earlier? Really think the way he gets the forwards running off him close to the ruck makes a big difference to us.
Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Red card all day, garbage from Drico and Hartley in commentary.
So if the only part of the body you can clear out is the head it's okay to go milling in and contact the head ?? Hello ??
Anyway sloppy performance but conditions not great and wind had an impact. Job done. Important to rack up the points in light of the mess in progress with cancellations.....

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster.
The odds are good but the goods are odd.
Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
We didn't rack up the points though. Got the TBP, but the top seeding will likely come down to points difference. Another try or two there could've been massive come end of Jan.Blueberry wrote: ↑December 19th, 2020, 2:53 pm Red card all day, garbage from Drico and Hartley in commentary.

I agree, add that to the performance of essentially the Ireland front and second row at scrumtime...outcast eddie wrote: ↑December 19th, 2020, 2:54 pm Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster.

The scrum which was actually very good? Referee was making some bonkers calls on penalties.Jcahill1 wrote: ↑December 19th, 2020, 3:00 pmI agree, add that to the performance of essentially the Ireland front and second row at scrumtime...outcast eddie wrote: ↑December 19th, 2020, 2:54 pm Keep hearing how great the Ireland second row will be when it comprises James Ryan and Ryan Baird but on recent evidence they can't even provide a reliable line out for Leinster.
