RFU reviewing “Swing Low”

More significantly, they seem to be hinting at some kind of transformation-like process there.

"We have undertaken some very good initiatives at the grassroots level to encourage more diverse participation however, that in itself is not enough.

"We need to do more to achieve diversity across all areas of the game including administration."

Old DVDs could well become high value when all this is over and nothing funny or "controversial" is allowed on any media platform.
I could imagine a time when you go to a seedy backstreet market to get a DVD of Harry Potter for 50 quid. It being banned from TV due to the author being a TERF.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

That would make more sense. How would banning a song so closely associated with civil rights make rugby more diverse, it would do the opposite.

And of course thats why they sing it in English rugby, their long standing fraternal relationships with the downtrodden and the oppressed.

Or, the wanking gestures.

I always found it an odd song for the English Rugby masses to embrace.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

This is bizarre. Orwellian allusions are massively overused but revising culture en masse to fit a particular ideology is, well...positively Orwellian. The most confusing part is that the ideology isn't 'on to nothing' - there is some truth in its claims, and trying to parse it all out with nuance and objectivity is really difficult because if you disagree with anything its proponents say (who are now well established in the media, high and low culture, politics and government, sport, etc.), you're "part of the problem" and are "centering your whiteness" (or some variant thereof). Weird times.
"This is breathless stuff.....it's on again. Contepomi out to Hickie,D'Arcy,Hickie.......................HICKIE FOR THE CORNER! THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

131 signatures. Saracens name has got to go at this rate.
I personally find the "Irish" in London Irish offensive.
