As a Michaels supporter this is the worse possible draw for us. Clongowes are like combat marines it’s all go, go go. Not let up. Relentless. I just wonder if Michaels have the urgency to live with tempo and attacks coming multiplied out from all directions every time the ball is in play. It’s going to be very difficult to stop a team that determined and relentless and with that much belief.

I suppose Michaels will try to slow down the game and turn it into a war of attrition. If they don’t they’ll be out. They will also need to have their cardio up to scratch or they’re going out. And they will need to defend like their lives depended on it and crush out any Clongowes defence when in attack.

I’ve noticed Clongowes in previous years have come with a very stand offish very cagey pattern in the past ten years. A wait and let your opponent beat himself approach. No mistakes stand off and absorb any attacks. They might resort back to that but I doubt it.
