Any update on the objection as to Clongowes playing an ineligible player vs. Terenue in the SCT?
I believe that the player was from KH who made the objection after the game.
How was the player ineligible?
From my understanding the player transferred from KH to Clongowes.
Probably a registration issue.

The rule is player must have been in School for 20 month continuous period prior to start of Senior Cup. Anecdotal is that player joined Clongowes in May 2022 and completed 4th year. Surprising they are still in competition. Obviously Jesuititical logic
The replay is on the 20th. Whoever wins will have to play a second round match in quick succession and if they win that a third game possibly within two weeks.
Meanwhile Michael's won't have played a match in over a month, having played in the first match of the tournament and been slated to play the last match of the 2nd round on the 24th, which will now be put back and have to work around JCT requirements.
It's a lot of juggling across three schools to accomodate a breach of the rules by one of them. Of course it would have been very hard on the Clongowes lads to have been kicked out due to errors by adults.
If Terenure Win the Replay, logic assumes the Schools Committee have to carry out the draw again, as Terenure were not in the draw.
Their proposal to replace Clongowes with Terenure if they win does not solve the problem.
As St Michaels could refuse to play Terenure as they were not in the draw and refuse to play Clongowes because the fielded an illegible player.
They could claim a bye to the next round.
There are a lot of legal eagle parents from the three schools involved that are carefully reading the "Gamesmasters Handbook Competition Regulations" as we speak.
7-0, 14-0, 17-0 to h-t. 17-7, 17-14, 17-19, 20-19.
Terenure started very slowly with lots of knock-ons in a blustery wind before their backs began to demonstrate lovely skills in the second-half. Both sides missed penalties in the second-half and the Terenure kick hit the post at 20-19.
Excellent second-half and Clongowes possibly deserved to shade it.

To lose a first round tie once may be regarded as a misfortune...

I see Rock is still out to impose its way of life on us. Beating teams with that absoluteness is not victory, it is wanting or needing to impose something on others. Of course they will say they are operating from a place of integrity, determination and focus but it is anything but. The totalitarian and absolute nature of their “success” is really domination and bondage.

I blame Terenure, Rock changed after been beaten by Terenure in 5 JCT/SCT finals in a row in the 1970's/80's.
Rumor has it that at least one Rock player was on all five beaten teams, I think his name was Gary McMahon.
