Navan -the Emerging Force
Having read The42 article about Navan's recent success in development, not surprised to pick up a Tweet that they won All Ireland Final today against Lansdowne by 22-9. Well done Navan.

Re: Navan -the Emerging Force
This 20s win is great to see. Their seniors face Sligo in Navan next weekend in last round of AIL. 1st v 2nd. Win or even a loss with a losing bonus would mean Navan are champions and up to division 2B
Theyre youths teams have been consistently winning Leinster and All Ireland titles over the past decade. The youths section is very strong and their also has been some great work put into St Pats Navan with Colm O Rourke(principal there) very interested in rugby and very accomodating of it.

Navan got a last minute converted try away to Rainey Old Boys last weekend to win 16-14, and seal a 2nd successive promotion, and will play in 2A next year.

conversion was I believe from the touchline on the kicker's wrong side - cue mass celebrations that went long into the night.Mackeroo wrote:Navan got a last minute converted try away to Rainey Old Boys last weekend to win 16-14, and seal a 2nd successive promotion, and will play in 2A next year.
A lot of the team are recent products of the club's youth teams, good to see the hard work paying off.

Heard an interview last Sunday with the captain Bryan McKeever on LMFM, he said 12 of the starting 15 had come up through the underage system in Navan. That's some going. Lots of great work being done there.Barry wrote:conversion was I believe from the touchline on the kicker's wrong side - cue mass celebrations that went long into the night.Mackeroo wrote:Navan got a last minute converted try away to Rainey Old Boys last weekend to win 16-14, and seal a 2nd successive promotion, and will play in 2A next year.

Re: Navan -the Emerging Force
Navan struggling in 1B after going straight up from 2B to 2A to 1B in successive seasons
Will be interesting to see how appeal about postponed games goes?
Underage still as strong as ever. Hopefully will see more pro players emerge from here as potential is huge
