I was following it on txt updates. I believe Maguire had a fine game and even imitated Cian.Donny B. wrote:First AIL champions from Leinster for eleven years.
Well done for restoring the chink in Leinster's honour!
Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
Well done. The scrum was good yesterday so hats off to the front row.
Come live with me in SEALAND!!
Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
well done Belvo, no thanks to IRFU for playing the highlight of the club game on a dusty mud patch.
Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
Shocking pitch, delighted for Belvo.
Can't believe, but not surprised, that it was played there when most of the Leinster cup/league finals are being moved from D'brook due to the state of the pitch, yet that game was deemed okay to be held there.

Congrats to Belvo. Cork Con had EIGHT Munster players on the pitch.

Absolutely delighted for them. Hate that no one cares about club rugby on this forum bar a small handful and they are mostly Leinster League.
I like to think of Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!

I'd love to care more about Club rugby. However, when you play rugby it generally means that your matches clash with your senior teams games and then if you're not playing on some saturday the club games clash with Leinster matches. Then the rare days that you aren't playing and there's no pro games clashing, often you (well me anyway) have other things to do that you can't get done because most weekends you're playing a match...

Doesn't have to be 1s or AIL. Can be any team at all just be involved. You play, can't ask for any more than that. You know what it's like. The heart of rugby in this country and indeed across the world lies in club rugby. It annoyss me that a comment by a Munster player in a paper(conplete hypothesis) will get more action on this forum than the entire 'Domestic Rugby' section'.Darce wrote:I'd love to care more about Club rugby. I am 100% aware that you of all people on this forum don't need to be preached to Darce.

Did you know Leo Auva'a gave his AIL medal to a paraplegic kid after the final. THAT'S club rugby!

Fair play, heard from a Belvo head at the semi that he's been carrying a neck injury for a while and is heading back home.
Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
Really? I'd heard that Leinster had offered him a contract for next season.combatlogo wrote:

Has he played here long enough to be IQ? I know he had a few "A" games this season for Leinster.Donny B. wrote:Really? I'd heard that Leinster had offered him a contract for next season.combatlogo wrote:

Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
That'll be pretty cool if he is staying, last I heard he was moving to France as he was only getting Leinster A games and wanted to be closer to getting games with the first team.
Re: Congratulations Old Belvedere
Yup I heard Leinster or clermont were his options, thought it had swung towards Leinster though!

Leo will be with Leinster next season but I don't think it's full time.

Of course not.... that would be far too official.
I was talking to my bin man, whose 3rd cousin twice removed is next door neighbour with Leo's dog walker.
