Yeah, I reckon that Scorthy will give the round robin a good rattle.

They will but Clonmel will finally go senior this year IMO.
Have won 4 of last 5 leagues in Munster after a first ever division one title in 2015. and have experience of round robin to finally get through this year

It's a pity that you are correct. Wicklows experience told and they took nearly all their chances whereas we were unable to take ours. Earls is a lovely player at 10.

Yes Wicklow did take their chances alright, thought Longford could have made better use of the strong wind in the first half. Earls is a fine player and crucial to the Wicklow team.

Hard to look past Enniscorthy in the final really

He was good, won a few balls at ruck time and tackled well, carried well when he had to. He has been playing well at 7 (or 6) this season, not much time in his best position though!

Longford had the wind in the second but you're right, they made little use of it. Earls is so experienced and we missed a bit of that with a very young backline with an average age of about 22! I remember Nicholson from the 18's cup last year, he played 2 if I'm not mistaken.

Got my half's mixed up! Yeah Nicholson was 2 in the 18's cup last year, he is a natural hooker (Irish Youths last year)

Assume he will be in the mix for Leinster 20's this summer. Lots of competition at hooker.

That was a good Wicklow Under 18's team last year with Noonan, Nicholson, the big number 8 (Luke something) and Paddy McKenzie.

Luke Thompson, now playing hooker for Lansdowne 20's.

He must be 6' 2'' or more.

be interesting to see if he makes 20's squad, several candidates at hooker - Nicholson, Thomspon, Baxter, Sheehan.

Luke wouldn't be that tall (too small for backrow hence the move to hooker..) going well at Landsdowne from what I hear, McKenzie still rehabbing ACL! Noonan doing well in Wesley as well. could be a toss up between Nicholson and Thompson for a place..

I'd take Nicholson in a heart beat. He was really good over the ball aswell.

You'd expect Nicholson would make leinster 20s given he was 1st choice for 19s last September.

Don't forget - towns cup final Wicklow v Enniscorthy - always a great occasion.

The game will kick off at 4pm in Navan RFC Sunday, 28 April, and if you can’t make it to Navan, watch the game live on Free Sports TV, SKY channel 429, or follow Leinster Branch on Twitter for updates throughout the day.
