Clongowes were excellent, their ball handling and ability to offload in the tackle was very encouraging to see. Didn't always work for them but great to see the intent. In fairness to Blackrock they were trying to play expansive rugby too but they simply lacked the ability that Clongowes had. Should be an intriguing semi-final between St Michaels and Clongowes.

The Clongowes' pack, subs included, were very powerful in the tight and dynamic in the loose. They went through the Rock defence at will. No.8 stood out for me but all their front row were very impressive.
Their backs are definitely inferior to Michael's though; not quite the same cutting edge. In crude terms it'll be Clongowes' pack against Michael's backs but Clongowes should be strong favourites. If Michael's get close to 50 percent of the ball they have serious try scoring potential so it could be close. Can only see a Clongowes win though

CWC look very impressive. It will be a cracking game on the 4th. Some nice odds too with michaels at 5/6 plus 7. I dont think that coach you are talking about is still there. I know that he has been coaching their seniors for 4-5 years but is coaching outside the school, including the Leinster 19's. They have really strong coaches throughout the school now including brian o Meara and bernard jackman. Back to the game, the CWC backrow is very strong but so is the michaels one. This game will be won with the front 5. If michaels can compete here, in my opinion they have the better all round play after that, worth a punt at +7 anyway. Good luck to KH today, a good side and underrated. I think they can pull off a shock

And the other side of the draw? can any of those 3 teams win the final?

Clongowes play Michaels in the other semi-final. The winner of that should win the final comfortably.

That's what I was trying to suggest, in my clumsy roundabout way.
