Leinster Youths U18s now called Leinster U18 "A" club

Post by bluerugbyrules »

The term Leinster U18 "A" club is now used on the Leinster web site. What does this mean??
Does it mean that the 18s schools side is the true 18s team and the 18s club side is the "A" team? Because this is shite. Last season the Leinster 18s clubs played the leinster 18s schools and beat them. Added to this, the Ireland 18s clubs played the 18s schools (first choice-before anyone comments otherwise) and beat them.
Is this just more of the same Leinster shite of favouring the schools over clubs and downgrading the club players.

NOTICE, THEY DIDN'T PLAY THE YOUTHS V SCHOOLS THIS YEAR !

As so they should considering the schools go around moping up the best club players with scholarships ETC. The schools are only interested in themselves, they do not care about the development of rugby outside their gates. The schools lobby within Irish rigby is way to strong, but this wont change anytime soon as Caleb Powell takes over the reigns in the IRFU.
Experience is the name everyone gives to their failures
