lebowski wrote:Pres were league champions and would have been expected to beat kilkenny easily. From what i read, were 10 points up in injury time and conceded 2 tries in a minute. You can't factor in freak events like that. I was at the Nure-Belvo game and at the league final and Pres would more than likely have beaten Terenure. I don't knoe what Kilkenny are like, but they may give them a shock too. All my other predictions hold through though.
Eh, no they dont! You got two other games wrong. Which means you got 5/8 which is really not very good! Any marginal game you got incorrect... And scoring tries is part of rugby so you cant say what Kilkenny did were "freak events"!

Marys 12 - 3 CUS is what I'm hearing. I think it's a full time score but not sure.

Thats a surprise - I thought Clongowes were hot favourites to repeat last years win.

Disapointing day for Clongowes :( . I thought we were finally getting it right at Junior level between last years side and this years dream team. Rock will be overjoyed. They were the only serious contenders left. We should have a few decent senior sides on the way though.

Rock vs Newbridge = Rock (Will be closer than you think)

Nure vs Kilkenny = Nure (Should be close also)

Michaels vs Clongowes = Clongowes (Comfortably)

C.U.S vs Marys = Marys (Could be wrong with this one)

you f%~ked up with that prediction

st.michaels 15-14 clongowes

michaels were the better team and defended well. michaels v marys in the semi

In fairness clongowes were red hot favourites and had beaten michales by 30 odd points earlier in the year. That was the biggest shock in schools rugby since kilkenny beat rock a few years ago

I heard a rumour that Clongowes were hammering Michaels pre season and the Clongowes coach took off 3 players and didn't replace them and Michaels still didn't score.

Major fock up by Clongowes by the sounds of things.
I like to think of Jesus like with giant eagles wings, and singin' lead vocals for Lynyrd Skynyrd with like an angel band and I'm in the front row and I'm hammered drunk!

no thats not true, it wasn't michaels. clongowes were playing a different school, can't remember who it was but they took the backrow off at half time

The game was as one sided as the score suggests. Michaels were much the better team on the day. They'd want to watch the high tackles though, another ref would be much stricter on that, especially at JCT level.
