Interesting - I hadn't realised that.

I take it that it would mean that there is one more place in LL1B, so the promotoion/relegation play off v Wexford Wanderers would become irrelevant and both would be LL1B next year - do I have that right?

Salmo lost that playoff and are in 2A next year as it stands. If Monkstown go to AIL then there is a 1 team bump to all the leagues with Ashbourne staying in 1A, DLSP staying in 1B and Edenderry staying in 2A etc.

The Women's AIL Final between Railway & UL Bohs is a cracking game and an illustration of how many talented players there are outside the National Squad. At 22-21, the quality of the tries and individual skills are excellent and the overall team combinations are high quality.

A good spectacle and an excellent exhibition of our Club game.

Great win for UL Bohs in a brilliant game of rugby - Railway Union gave their all in a fine performance but the robin keeps bobbing along. I hope the Railway player who got a terrible leg injury is okay

Congrats to Monkstown who beat Bangor and are promoted to AIL 2C.

Ashbourne stay in LL1A, DLSP stay in 1B and Edenderry stay in 2A.

The yellow for the trip should have been upgraded to red for his cheek in trying to claim mitigation because the Terenure player had changed direction.

Con’s discipline has been somewhat lacking

Terenure’s not all that special either. You’d have to think that Con would be winning this fairly comfortably if they’d kept 15 on the pitch.

I reckon so too, Terenure are playing a lot fairly dumb stuff against 14, sometimes 13 and at one point 12 players

Well deserved win for Cork Con who were tougher up front and brilliant at poaching. Game spoiled as a spectacle by a whistle happy referee who wanted to find every infringement and broke up the flow at every chance. But Con well deserved their win.

Have to disagree. I thought the ref did well with two teams pushing the limits of the laws.

See Rhys Ruddock is joining Lansdowne as a coach next season. They have a coaching set up that wouldn't look out of place at a good level URC team.

He has been involved with them alreday recently - I think he was part of the U20 coaching team?
