That's 11 different Schools and 9 different Clubs providing players to a Leinster Under 19 Squad. Seems a fairly even distribution. But when you analyse the distribution, there's a distinct preponderance in favour of five Schools, with 4/5 players from each (Blackrock, Belvedere, St Michaels, St Mary's, Newbridge). Is this a function of the quality of the coaching in these Schools between age 13 and 18?

Schools which had decent SCT's last season, such as Gonzaga, Castleknock, Terenure & Clongowes seem to be under-represented. Once again, is that a function of a paucity of Coaching?

I think it's because the "decent SCT's" you mention in relation to Gonzaga, castleknock, Terenure etc were mostly 6th years who are now too old for u-19 squads

There are two 6th years/leaving cert-ers from St Michaels in fairness (Stewart and white), and a couple from Rock (Mullan? and Yarr), but I believe they are on the youngish side for leaving cert-ers

Surprised the Zaga hooker and the centre (Flanagan?) who are both current 5th years I believe, haven't been included

Ulster schools should really be stronger than they are. I really feel that Ulster as an organisation fail to deliver on the potential. That goes from top down.

Excellent Reports and player details. Fascinating to see the spread of Clubs / Schools across the Connacht Squad. Probably the most diverse of any Province. Impressive coaching list also, presumably IRFU appointees?

This is a Province worth watching for further prospects.

Connacht because of numbers playing will be able to see players from all clubs a lot more so generally will be very good spread clubs involved. Coaching list isnt IRFU appointees.
For their 19s. Morgan Codyre is a former very good player at schools and youths rugby and sub academy and was a CCRO with wegians now in a coaching role with connacht academy.
McKeown is Barnhall. Up there with most AIL appearances of all time. had been or is still involved with university in maynooth as rugby officer there
Gary Lally is Wegians. played all through grades there and with Jes as well. been coaching age grade/schools sides for 4/5 years

The Connacht U19s are a very good outfit and have had the advantage of playing together at U18 as a group whereas the other three provinces are (theoretically) trying to combine their two U18s teams into a single U19 entity where some of the combinations will be completely new
