Never say Never - Darce's Picture is too big

Post by Uncle Mort »

For the reasons suggested on the other thread - Darce should reduce or remove his picture - it really does cause problems in a work environment

I work in a very open-plan office, it would suit me if it was removed. I don't think you should be allowed have a picture in your signature, it makes it far too obvious that you're on the doss!!

I think that 94% in favour of reducing / removing is a pretty fair result from a statistically valid sample of 29. So, please do something - it seems that most would be happy for you to keep it - just very, very much smaller. If you don't do anything then it begs the question as to why you enjoy annoying so many other people.

Don't understand why someone who calls themselves Darce has a picture of Gary Brown

Eve, Limecat

As 95% of voters on this thread have voted that overlarge / overprominent signatures casue a problem / distraction or even annoyance and one of the founding rules on this message board is that posters should not annoy each other, is it possible that you can introduce something by which the size and prominance of signatures is limited. Thanks.

It has been our intention to add rules in regard to signature sizes, as well as a few other things for a while, just some small changes to help improve the "forum experience". Some of these other changes have been rquested / mentioned in other threads.

It was our intention to try and roll out all the proposed changes at once (probably a bad idea), but as this "contentious" issue seems to be annoying such a large percentage of forum users, I'll talk to the other mods this evening and we'll decide how best to proceed.

I feel I must add to the calls for the Gary Brown sigs to be reduced in size. It takes forever for a page to load properly on my blackberry and it then takes ages to scroll past them.

Rex clearly has a very poor quality blackberry. I experience no such problems with mine. :P

Personally I think we should reach a compromise on the sigs. Darce should get rid of his because it's annoying. But epaddy should be allowed keep his cos it's comedy genius.

After discussion with the other mods on the forum, we've updated the forum rules to limit the size of images in signatures. I would appreciate if users could update their signatures accordingly.
