Ireland Top Try Scorers
Would anyone know where to (or if it’s possible) to get an all time list of Ireland Test Try Scorers. Top ten-ish available on Irish Rugby or Wikipedia but it’d be interesting to see the top 50+
Any ideas?

Hate to diss a good body of work, but at first glance, Keith Earls has 35 tries, not 15CiaranIrl wrote: ↑February 21st, 2023, 10:08 pm Here is an extended list of the top 50 Irish rugby international try scorers of all time, as of my knowledge cutoff of 2021:

Also, this (Rory Underwood - 8 tries) not to be confused with the Rory Underwood who scored 49 tries for England?

I just thought it might be interesting to see what Chat GBT (or whatever it's called) might say!
They're all famous for confidently spitting out incorrect answers though apparently.

Re: Ireland Top Try Scorers
Great research and fascinating notes. Of particular interest is the absence of the player considered Ireland's greatest winger for at least 50 years AJF O'Reilly, who played for Ireland for 15 years.hugonaut wrote: ↑February 22nd, 2023, 6:47 am 1. Brian O'Driscoll - 46

Tony O'Reilly was a prolific try scorer during two Lions Tours (SA in 1955 - 16 tries, NZ in 1959 - 22 tries) but never showed the same ability for Ireland despite the presence of a number of other great backs - e.g. Kyle, Henderson, Flynn, Brophy, Gibson, Kiernan, Hewitt, McGann, Mulligan.
O'Reilly is recorded as scoring 4 tries for Ireland.

Re: Ireland Top Try Scorers
Another one I need to check is Noel Henderson (1949-1959) who played centre and full-back for Ireland and the Lions and was also a place-kicker. He scored 54 points for Ireland.

TBF,100% credit to Edmund Van Esbeck 100 years of Irish Rugby. I just knew where to look.
Re: Ireland Top Try Scorers
Some surprising numbers in there. I'm amazed Tom Grace only has 6 and that Crossan has 3 more than Ringland. Great seeing Girve at no.6
