The OLSC will be holding a table quiz in aid on SOSAD on Thursday, 30 August 2012 at 7:30pm in Kielys of Donnybrook with Quizmaster Extraordinaire Shane Byrne...

Sosad (Save our Sons and Daughters) is an organisation with five main goals:
• To raise awareness of suicide in Ireland.
• To break the taboo surrounding suicide.
• To provide support and direction to those feeling suicidal
• To provide support and direction to those approached by someone feeling suicidal
• To provide support and direction for those bereaved by suicide.

Entry: €40 for a table of four

Pre-Registration: Whilst not required it would assist with planning, please e-mail us at olsc 'at' leinsterrugby.ie

There will be prizes for the quiz winners as well as a raffle. Please come along and join us for a night of fun in support of a great cause.

Rugby related: Name the NIQ players who started the 2009 H Cup final, same for the 2011 final. We were also asked to name the four World Cup winners who have played for Leinster since 2000.

Non-rugby: What is 'metachrosis'? What children's book had a main character called 'Anne Shirley'?

The 2nd/3rd place tie breaker was so random: in the 1986 Spanish Eurovision entry "La, La, La", how many las were there?

The picture round was little bits of rugby crests, and you had name the team. Just as happened last year, we were scuppered by the picture round.

Impressively, one of the tie break teams got within two of the correct number of las. I was talking to them afterwards, and one of the women knew the song, and so worked it out.

Metachrosis is the ability of some animals to change colour. Anne of Green Gables was the book. And you got all of the rugby ones spot on.
