It is expensive compared to European norms, but then Dublin Bus gets roughly half the subvention that comparable bus services in other EU countries get and receives no aid for fleet replacement. Even the privatised bus companies in the UK get more funding than the state owned Dublin Bus. The difference in fares between here and the continent basically comes down to subsidies - the 'real' fares are pretty much the same.
Just hurry up and get Blues Talk out and forget the socialist retoric!
Hope there's no female Northampton fans watching.Donny B. wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkbebJbvu_A
James Bond theme parody. Be warned the language is fairly fruity!
I was going to put this in the weird news thread but then, when you think about it, she has a point.Garda Yvette Walsh told the court that she arrested the accused at Shannon Airport at 2.05pm yesterday to which Ms Lauren replied; "Can you say that in English please." She was later charged at Shannon Garda station and made no reply after each charge.
How long before US media notice this and start making jokes about Irish courts being in pubs..?blockhead wrote:http://www.independent.ie/irish-news/ca ... 95597.html

How drunk do you have to be to mistake Limerick for Spain? Honestly. I can understand the language confusion, turnipish takes a while to decipher.Jenny Lauren 'thought she was in Spain' when asking arresting guard to speak English
Being met by a Garda on a plane? Plausible. It's an easy way to wiggle out of a smart comment. Have to wonder about the wisdom of diverting a plane in the first place for increasingly minor disruptions. What's next, a version of the "if you kids don't stop messing I'm stopping the car and kicking you out."?blockhead wrote:
