Are hotels allowed to sell alcohol to residents on Good Friday?

Yep. You can also get a drink on the train/in the airport (airside) and, IIRC, they were serving in the RDS on Good Friday the last time we had a match that day.

Don't think they were actually. There was talk of the supporter's bar being open, but in the end it remained shut.

Bit extravagant to book yourself into a hotel purely so you can have a drink. Would you not just go a day without it?

The bars in Thomond will be open. It's just a shame that they're all sh!t.
UL Bohs' bar is probably the best of a bad lot. (no tv in there to watch replay of match though)

Will they not have to restrict access to members only though?

Might be worth driving down and staying in a hotel?
I never like to come back the night of a match.
5 or 6 hours sitting on a bus with a match in the middle!
Is it on Setanta Ireland or Setanta 1? I am suddenly feeling very lazy.

The bus trip should be 3 hrs max each way with the motorway, have a hotel booked but the cost of that plus some drinks in the residents bar will be near enough the same as an away ML game abroad (am thinking Glasgow).

Catch 22.
Don't know anyone who has Setanta 1. Can't go to the Pub. 6 hours on a bus or drive and stay?
Cheapskate version, stay away from this forum, the radio, and the news. Watch the re run on Setanta Ireland on the Saturday.
Bandito version. Buy mask, kidnap directors of Setanta, force them to show the game on Setanta Ireland live.
Decisions, decisions.

Have a hotel booked. Am awaiting an email on their policy for Good Friday before I decide.

Most likely will get train and stay over :D

I also have a hotel booked but most seem to be doing a one day trip so I'll drive down and back up that night.
