Re: Friday's Rave
Great performances by Irish golfers this weekend.
Lowry win BMW event in Wentworth with McIlroy a shot behind, tied second. Harrington wins Seniors PGA event in the US and goes second in that money-list with US$2.45m, less than 150k behind the leader.Leona Maguire didn't finish with her usual flourish but still in top 25.
Great performances by the three men.

Here's an idea.
King Charles III -Sponsored by Tampex
He could make £££millions, y'know, instead of sponging off his subjects while they're queuing up at foodbanks, like his oulwan did.
His wife/cousin could get in on the act too.
Now before yall get upset.
It dosen't have to be Tampex necessarily, it could be any brand of feminine hygiene products.

Re: Friday's Rave
Mention of Tampax has brought back the memory of that in famous Charles and Camilla tape.
Why on earth did my brain retain that?

Oysters, some serious sauces too
Duck, Sea food Platter
Chocolate mousse and some kind of lemon thing.
High Star stuff.
Corniche pasty, wash your mouth out.

Re: Friday's Rave
Nowt wrong with a Cornish pasty, food of the gods. Many the time after a few too many sociables while over yonder for an Ireland or Leinster game has a Cornish pasty sated the beer munchies
Re: Friday's Rave
All true but the best ones can be found in Cornwall itself. Along with great beer.
Used to be a Cornish bar in Covent Garden which did both!
Anyone But New Zealand
Re: Friday's Rave
Lads you're comparing apples with tomatoes.
I'm as fond of corniche pasty as the next person but you need a pint of the best to go with it.
Dev was serving top notch wine with his fare.

Re: Friday's Rave
What an explanation of coaching:
We're weren't the best team on the pitch, we were the most effective.
Vera Pauw, Head Coach of Ireland's Women's Football team after their 0-1 victory to qualify for the World Cup 2023 in Australia & New Zealand.
Well done to the Girls in Green (or Orange)

Magic! And a very well taken goal too, loads of time and ways to fup that up.

The next one can't possibly be as funny as the last two
Re: Friday's Rave
They bring back the triumphant Johnson for a second term who then has to resign in disgrace (again?) when found guilty of telling porkies to parliament about his lockdown booze-ups. Another leadership election in six months with Liz dusting herself off for another shot....

Re: Friday's Rave
I strongly suspect that Boris was informed today that a strong majority of the House of Commons Ethics Committee ( an all-Party grouping) have indicated that he would be found guilty of bringing the House into disrepute and would be suspended as an MP - thus making him ineligible to become Leader of the Conservative Party and, by the way, Prime Minister.
On the other hand, if he did not offer himself as a candidate, the same Committee might agree to merely penalise him by a suspension of privileges for a defined period, if he was only a backbench MP.
Will we ever know for certain? I doubt it, but it doesn't matter if a future General Election and Tory Party vote re-elects him as a Leader at some future date.

I think it was a sham. He saw off any potential challenge from the right and it means the party can unite behind sunak.Ruckedtobits wrote: ↑October 23rd, 2022, 9:38 pm I strongly suspect that Boris was informed today that a strong majority of the House of Commons Ethics Committee ( an all-Party grouping) have indicated that he would be found guilty of bringing the House into disrepute and would be suspended as an MP - thus making him ineligible to become Leader of the Conservative Party and, by the way, Prime Minister.

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
