It's so pleasing to see McGregor's humiliation but you'd wonder how he got away with just a financial penalty. I'm really surprised that it has taken this long for him to become a social pariah.
It was a civil case, where the standard is balance of probability. The DPP decided they didn’t have a strong enough case for a criminal prosecution which has a much higher standard of beyond a reasonable doubt.
But yeah, total scumbag…
Unfortunately it's just pocket change to him

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Is it though? Remember, his biggest market is basically Gilead.
I have no idea what that is
The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Attwood, which was made into an intially very good but eventually overlong television series. about a near future America where a christian theocracy has taken over (and renamed the country Gilead) and, due to declining birth rates, has sanctioned the rape of fertile women, banned all forms of birth control for women, same sex relationships, chaste religious orders, women are not allowed own property, vote, or receive an education.

Could they not just have made alcohol free?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

That's great if you want to sell supplements on infowars (hehe).
If supermarkets de-shelf your whiskey and bars stop serving it, not so much.
Thought he had already cashed out on the whiskey brand. Think he made over €100mm on it. I think I saw the owner is going to rename it (it was just rebranded shite anyway).
Don't think he has any live significant businesses. Will affect any future stuff and maybe ties are cut with the UFC (probably scuppers any come back... At least for a while)

They just, pretty overwhelmingly, elected a guy with a similar rap sheet to the highest office in the land - do you think they'll worry about some lad slinging hooch?
