Irish Qualified tighthead signs for the Gringos

Ulster get Court & Trimble boost

Irish and Ulster ace Andrew Trimble will agreed a new contract
Ulster have signed Australian tight-head prop Tom Court as their final new recruit for next season.
The 24-year-old Irish qualified player, who joins on a two-year deal, replaces the departing Rod Moore in the squad.

Court only started playing rugby union three years ago but has progressed quickly and was in the Queensland Reds Super 14 squad earlier this season.

Meanwhile, 21-year-old Ulster and Irish back Andrew Trimble has signed a new three-year international contract.

The exciting centre or wing has made a meteoric rise this season following his Ireland debut against Australia in November.

Trimble was an instant hit in his full Ulster debut last August and has scored six tries in 16 games.

The former Coleraine Academical pupil is a third-year theology student at the Belfast Bible College and a former Ireland Schools' and Ireland under-21 star.

Previously a top athlete, Court was one of the best shot-putters in Australia.

After starting off at the University of Queensland in 2003, he was then invited to join the Queensland Reds rugby academy.

He has since played for Queensland 'A' and NPC side Manawatu before returning to Australia to feature in the Queensland Reds squad.
