Signs for Leicester. Bab news for Munster as I think he is a better player then O'Leary
Now that rugby's oldest bridesmaid has finally got hitched, she can cast a haughty glance towards Leinster, her high-living sister from Dublin, who, despite her immense beauty and vast potential, has trouble getting lucky.

The powers that be at Leicester must have enjoyed Gerry Thornley's praise of Murphy after Satruday's Cup final: "Given he is blessed with an economical and quick service off either hand and is a real running threat and decision-making presence, his treatment by Munster appears curious."

Curious, indeed.

So what are the odds that he'll take over from Ellis? That really would be a kick in the teeth for English rugby. Ellis is their only contender with international experience at the moment and he can't afford to be losing out on gametime like Dawson has at Wasps. Two of England's main clubs with two specialist positions taken by a foreigner - they have to work something out soon before there's no English players playing in the GP.

Ellis is a liability - his temperament and his propensity for dirty tricks won't have endeared him to Pat Howard. He's a petulant kid.
Methinks that if Robinson could have found an alternative, he'd have done so this year during their 6N.

Plus the fact that Ellis has a shockingly slow pass off both hands...the bread and butter of any scrum half...

Given the number of interprovincial matches he has refereed since 2016, in advance of Saturday's game I wondered if https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Mur ... gby_union) has had a thread to himself on this Forum.....apparently not since he became a Referee...! {although he did have three before he became a ref...and has featured regularly in other threads :wink:}

I dont think we have a thread for any other referee. I dont see why we would want one for Frank Murphy.
