What are some of those arbitrary things in rugby that annoy you?

For me:
- The increase in players pulling their socks down around their ankles.
- The term "enforcer". What does it even mean? I'm convinced if someone like James Ryan grew a beard, showed more biceps and started acting "hard" he'd get the "enforcer" tag and the media would lust over him.
- Pundits/fans using the term "monster pack" for a pack that isn't even that big.

Mine are:
- Big fat teams being allowed to slow the game down
- commentators ooohing and aaahing over “linespeed” when it’s quite often offside ignored by the ref
- refs and assy refs ignoring the offside line saying it’s “not material” (it is material)

My biggest bugbear at the mo is players standing over their opponents on the ground after winning a scrum peno or a turn over at the maul and mocking them to their face. In fact, I think it should be banned and if it actually is according to the laws, then the match officials and WR should be doing a heck of a lot more to stamp it out!!!! Grrr!!!!!!

You're right. it does contravene the laws and refs should really enforce it. On a more basic level, it's a scummy and classless thing to do.

Either you accept the risk vs the benefits of team sports and physical activity for you child or not.

Release your grip on your pearls and accept that rugby at all levels is generally doing its best to make it as safe as possible.

Biggest one for me as well.

The playing charter should be amended to include the words "without undue pause" under both principles of the game and principles of the laws, and an addition to Law 5, 'Time' [which incredibly doesn't refer once to 'time wasting'] should be added directly after Art. 2 re: half-time length.
