Munster may have learned the attacking part of "chaos" rugby but they've a lot to learn about the defensive side. Discipline is the key component, you can't allow yourselves to be pulled out of shape too easily. Any illusions about suitability for Irish places was evident throughout the second half.

Scarlets got a losing bonus point. They tried to run a penalty kick back from their own goalline but at least when they knocked on the were really quick to get the ball off the pitch and end the game.

I still think teams are a bit too gung ho about trying to score late when they have something to lose.

The best scarlets could have got was an extra point for a draw. And the chances of coughing up another kickable penalty (or worse) were probably higher.

One thing you can’t say about last nights game is that it was boring.

Munster had an unbelievable start, running in 4 tries with ease.
They had a great first half, but really fell asleep in the second half.
I wouldn’t like to be those lads in training next week.
The defence was very un-Munsterlike.
Not many teams manage to earn a TBP against Munster.

I’d say the emotions for each of them during the week, could have been a contributing factor, along with basically having the game in the bag before the 30 minute mark.

What’s really great for me is that 6 of the 7 Munster tries were scored by the backs, with the wingers getting a brace each.
Munster are really evolving as a team, and are not too far off becoming a team to really push for silverware.
With RG back, if he can stay fit, Munster could be a real contender next season.

The Scarlets away record is won 1, lost 6. And before yesterday they didn't even have a losing (or try) bonus point away.

Lions doing Munster a favour by beating the Bulls.
Munster now have a 5 point buffer, allowing them to lose 1 game and still have a good chance of being in the top 5.

If Ulster lose again, Munster could have a good chance of a top 3 or 4 finish, and a home quarter final.

While looking at the table, it is absolutely crazy that Scarlets kicked the ball out at the end.

While they did earn 2 points, they also lost 3 valuable points which would have given them a chance of catching Cardiff and earning a spot in next seasons HC.
Now it looks unlikely that they will as they find themselves 5 points adrift with only 3 games left to play.

And it wasn't happening as they had knocked on and were under pressure to retain the ball. Their only hope was that Munster would get the ball, let advantage expire and that Scarlets would somehow get a turnover and go the length of the pitch.

All of this happened after Scarlets had already given up a kickable penalty that would have cost them a bonus while chasing the game.

Watching highlights of Munster v Scarlets on ATH, one things that stands out is that Jack Crowley didn't particularly fancy putting his body on the line on the night. Minding himself for two of the Scarlets tries.

Musgrave has shown some real value with 2 sold out matches during the U20s 6 nations, and will hopefully host 8 sold out gigs during the summer.

Those matches/events along with 3 sold out gigs at TP will be provide a massive financial boost at an opportune time.

Hopefully Munster can also drive on and earn a home quarter in the URC to add to the bottom line.

Doubt it. They'll go out in a hard fought semi final to Vicar Street but their losing performance will restore the faith of the fans in them and we'll all live happily ever after
