Of course but with Sam Arnold also leaving that's potentially 3 backrowers going. Butler will probably sign again but I could see pressure been put on Penny or Deegan to go.by mildlyinterested
they'd have to want to move too.
I Imagine Deegan will be the most under pressure.

Sorry got the name wrong. I meant Conor Oliver. Apparently he might be leaving too.by Laighin Break
Sam Arnold the centre?
Re: Connacht 2021/22
If they can't afford to hold onto Conor Oliver what hope would they have for someone like Deegan.
Re: Connacht 2021/22
Conor Oliver leaving would be a surprise. Arnold is leaving though.
Papali'i was worth a gamble but he's done nothing except get sent off.
I don't think anyone can be forced to leave but for their own careers I'd imagine players will want to go especially with fewer games. And the fewer games might also mean Connacht can focus more on quality over quantity.
Ulster are also looking for backrows and have more money and I can see one of the Munster 10s moving in the next 18 months as well as a few backs.

Re: Connacht 2021/22
Conor Oliver has been excellent this season and filled the gap left by Colby Fainga'a's departure. Together with Prendergast and Boyle there is some real dynamism in the back row. Regardless of the Deegan/Penny discussion, I would be upset to see Oliver leave.

Oliver will not be going anywhere. Butler may move though, and Arnold and Papali'i are both off to Brive.

Connacht's scrum gets munched. Off the following 5m lineout, Leicester get their maul rolling and score a try. 5-3

Re: Connacht 2021/22
Back line move of Leicester's breaks down in midfield. Carty picks up and in under the posts, just as we reach half time!!! 12-17.

Jack Ongeeay in at tight-head according to BT commentator

You’d be very confident that Mike Adamson knows what he’s talking about at scrum time

Connacht should've won this. Tigers bench scrum impact has been a big factor but key errors from Carty x2 and TOH turned momentum too.

Re: Connacht 2021/22
Great thinking and awareness there from Carty - everyone was focussed on getting the try, but they only needed two points for the losing bonus

Drop kick at the death from Carty for a LBP. Decent result!!!
