Missing the Stormers player playing it on the ground there was incredible.

Vermeulen has to have been the signing of the season. Always available, hard f%~ker, plays the same in every match. Huge engine at nearly 36.

Stormers could do with Marius Jonker in the box here…

Red Card and relieving penalty kick, Ulster should close this one out now

Good intelligent play by Timoney off the back of that scrum.

What an engaging game, not a point in the second half till the last second, all the myths thrown out the window. One team wins and the other didn’t both contributed to a great game, neither are now shite. One is ecstatic, one is devastated.

Ulster defence in the end the would have been the fairytale story, like the one that would have been written about us two weeks ago except for a slip by their scrumhalf. Awe sport.

Well done Ulster, great performance, very unlucky. Well done to the Stormers, stayed in the fight.

Jaysus what a sickener but they do have themselves to blame for not closing it out. The ref played his part too though

Sickening. Ref seemed determined to give the Stormers chance after chance.

Heartbroken for Ulster and Irish Rugby. Hope O'Toole and Balacoune are ok. Gutted for the them but what a game to watch!

I know the phrase used by a lot of coaches when they talk about the difference between winning and losing is "The top two inches" but really, for the Irish provinces in knockout competition this season, you've got to be talking in millimeters.

Once again, so close!

Every decision that went against the stormers resulted in a number of their players questioning the decision.
This, and the constant soccer style appealing to the ref sickens me.

Adamson warned them about this a few times but did nothing.
Hate seeing this cr@p creeping into rugby.

Random thoughts about the game:

1. Moore has a hell of a left boot on him. Would bring him along to NZ.
2. Wondering what would have happened if the Ulster players had the correct studs going out there. Hume fell on his face which led to the first try and Cooney slipped while kicking so the ball hit the post.
3. O'Toole was immense. If he's fit then he's on the plane to NZ for me.
4. Warwick I watched a lot. Did well in the scrum but so many brainless penalties around the field. If he wants to become an international he needs to cut that out.
5. People complaining about the ref been nice to Stormer's need to look at Balacoune's first try and the red card. Another ref's most likely would have not allowed the try and could have given a yellow.
6. Ulster's maul defense was excellent.
7. That they got 30,000 in the stadium for the game and allegedly could have had more if they hadn't had covid restrictions is great for the league.
