Chris Boyd is a bit of a dose.
I think you've been generous to him there
To be fair I thought the PT was harsh, was it just me or did the ball not even go forward? But he's incredibly bitter and willing to blame others. He can be as dismissive of the URC as he likes but that shouldn't impact on his second row not being able to catch a simple restart.

Attempt an intercept with one hand and you're asking for trouble.
The ref had a solid game.
Saints didn't look half bad tbh, Ulster are on a different level though, just didn't show it on the scoreboard.

Ringrose could learn a thing or two from Hume..
"McCluskey & Hume are demonstrating a centre partnership which is an example to other Provincial partnerships".
Rather than view either in isolation and compare them with one other individual, at this point let's just watch this partnership develop.
I think the second half clearly demonstrated that Hume in isolation is significantly less than half of the McCloskey-Hume partnership. Admittedly Moore is not a No 12 with the skills or experience of McCluskey but McCluskey is the broadsword and Hume is the rapier. If he could develop an equivalent understanding with Henshaw or Bundee we would certainly have competition for Ringrose - not that we particularly want him displaced.
Farrell must be loving the progress on Balacoune, Hume, McIlroy, Doak etc.
Daniel Johannes "Duane" Vermeulen already looks like a leader on the pitch in his first home game.

I don't think it matters ... they don't play in blue so won't get a sniff.

Ahhh, poor little Ulster, ignored by so many Ireland coaches.
HammerTime-name the Ulster players you think have been wrongly omitted from the Ireland squad (10 years limit)

Lowry is the one most impressing me. Somebody mentioned Mack Hansen has played a bit at 15 which I think is interesting, and the three of them - Hansen, Lowry and Keenan are all quite alike. Keenan is playing superbly, but it’s nice to have a few players playing well who play similarly and could slot in if needed.

At some point players should just accept that if there’s a debate about which position is your best then you’re a fullback. It’s always fullback. And that’s okay.
I like the Keenan description, outhalf for 7s, fullback for 15s.
Ulster have announced the signing of flanker Sean Reffell from Saracens. Reffell has over 40 caps for Scarcens and is a IQ 23yo openside that tackles everything (he holds the Scarcens record of 39 tackles in a game). Seems like good additions for Ulster. Great that Cooney has signed on again also.
Cooney is a big one. They looked rudderless when he came off against Munster.
John Cooney sustained a calf injury in last weekend’s United Rugby Championship game against Munster at Thomond Park. He is unavailable for selection for Sunday’s match against Northampton Saints.
He joins the following players on the current injury list:
Will Addison (lower leg) Iain Henderson (ankle) Stuart McCloskey (hamstring) Tom Stewart (foot) Jacob Stockdale (ankle) Cormac Izuchukwu (knee) Jordi Murphy (knee) Matty Rea (hamstring) Luke Marshall (knee)
Robert Baloucoune and Bradley Roberts have now returned to training.
That would be a savage signing for Ulster.
Seems like a great person too, so would be a good fit.
Just because a post upsets you, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong. People have different views in all aspects of life, this is a key ingredient to an interesting conversation.

Rumour that Ulster are trying to sign LH Steven Kitshoff for next season.
They did make an approach, but apparently the move didn't happen as he was still under contract and they would have had to pay transfer fee/compensation etc to the Stormers.
