Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
Dropping the ball on the line is Munster's best move.
Re: Munster Rugby 2021/2022 - Search for the Holy Grail
"famous victory on French soil" according to Hugh (no relation to Dave) Cahill
Look out Itchy, he's Irish

When your luck is in it's in.
If Casey had touched that ball, Coombes wouldn't have scored that try.
Congrats Munster. Not necessarily a good result for us.
Missed most of the game, how did Crowley do?
Great experience for him.

That game was all shades of sh**e.
Was all about which team was going to lose it.

Dont Panic!

Did Loughman not fly in from the side at the end? Lucky lucky boy, he came from so far out as well.
Thought Coombes had a fairly average game but jeez he’s a great man for coming up with a big moment when needed and just so hard to stop. Hodnett very good when he came on, impressed every time I see him.
JVG will be delighted with that performance.

Fairly average stuff all round on a pitch that looked like trifle - still, you get your win and get out of dodge, job done.
I have Bumbleflex

Absolutely brilliant to get that win.
What makes it even more satisfying is that they won it with Crowley at 10 making just his 8th appearance and first start at this level.
Beirne is right up there with the best right now. Hard to see an Irish team being picked without him starting.
Coombes, despite his illness and lack of rugby, he looks in great form and must be right in the mix to start during the 6 nations.
Great game again from one of my favourites, Mike Haley.
He did all of the basics really well, and imo made some great decisions with his counter running lines.
Munster through to the knock out stages, not bad for a useless team.

Just because a post upsets you, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong. People have different views in all aspects of life, this is a key ingredient to an interesting conversation.

In from the side seems to be very rarely reffed, which is baffling to me as it's just plain dangerous.LeRouxIsPHat wrote: ↑January 14th, 2022, 9:53 pm Did Loughman not fly in from the side at the end? Lucky lucky boy, he came from so far out as well.

Jeez that was turgid stuff.
Neither side had a clue how to break the other down, and they were actively not trying.
Crowley looks a fine kicker but a good bit to go before he’s at this level. A few fairly nervy moments on open play and a bit rabbit in headlights at times, which is to be expected.
Haley solid again and Beirne his usual threat at every breakdown.
Kilcoyne is slowing down a lot though, and when he’s your main ball carrier that’s an issue.

I thought Crowley was very good considering Munsters disjointed attack.

He kicked for goal well, but had quite a few errors in open play and ran down a good few blind alleys.
What was very good about the performance on your view?

Thought you couldn't get worse than the cahill / Lenihan combination but was proven very wrong tonight. Painful stuff.

He kicked his goals, kicked well out of hand, put in a nice dink over the top that should have resulted in a try, hand a nice crossfiekd kick which was just slightly behind Conway, got stuck in and got up from taking big hits. It's was his third start and first start in Europe.
