Apart from losing Cooney, they have totally switched off and stopped passing and carrying and just kicked ball away. If you keep given your opponents the ball, they will score!

Ulster cant do anything right.

You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Lowry has stepped them up a bit too

Obviously I'm supporting Ulster but if I was a neutral watching Leicester playing with Austin Healy on "co-comms", I would definitely shout for their opposition

Par for the course for Ulster - when the chips are down they always fold. Cooney going off possibly didn't help, but they weren't switched on at all after half time

Well that's disappointing. Ulster just stopped playing, not helped by Cooney going off.
Opportunity missed...again.

Dont Panic!
Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Ulster bossed the first 20mins so decisively I thought it was going to be a rout. But they just stopped playing. There is no belief in that team.

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Totally. Post Best they lack leadership and post Cooney they lack direction. Burns opted out of looking for ball and kicking 5 times from half-way line to a full back who caught everything was very Munster & appalling from a former AB scrummie. When Lowry came in he gave them some direction and with Addison nearly had enough to get them back in. Hendo looked Lions material in first half but looked a lion cub in the second. Timoney & Jordi played well but Marty is strictly a 45 min version now a days.
Thay need a quality second row, a dominant No 8 and a team leader. Otherwise they'll play bridesmaid for another 5 years in Europe.

15 years without a trophy now.
Funny thing is.
The one thing the Ulstermen don't do is?
Stand up!

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Wouldn’t blame him there to be fair, but nobody really arrested that slide. Cooney is the leader more than anyone else and typically got injured doing brave stuff. Leicester are a coming force again. They are a tough outfit and doing particular good work with the non-internationals. Dan Kelly probably would’ve played tonight only for a concussion and was a shame not to see him. They have a scrum half kid, van Poortvliet and hé is gonna be a good un. There’s good development going on across the board though.
Tonight they put the ball behind the Ulster back 3 and just waited for the mistakes. They do that a fair bit in the premiership and it’s taking them a distance, but am disappointed Ulster didn’t handle that much better.

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Tigers played a different game in the second half, played to their strengths and put the pressure on and took their chances, this is mostly a new Tigers side, with a lot of youngsters coming through from our academy, the big difference with Borthwick is he is using them, plenty of squad rotation so anyone should be able to slip into the side. Far from firing on all cylinders, but wins like this will lift the side.

Re: Ulster Rugby - 2020-21 Season
Ulster had that won but lacked a) composure to close the game out b) the nerve to keep playing and went into their shell
losing cooney hurt but that doesn't excuse the lack of ambition they showed that second half , they need to learn from this
A word for nadolo he is massive and must be a nightmare to tackle or get tackled by
Leicester have improved a lot this year, they have everything needed to be big force in England and in Europe bit disappointed we not seeing more of the welsh under 20 capt reffell though
