Earls and Healy’s contracts will be the most interesting given their ages.

I suspect that both will get one year deals.
The Central contract negotiations this year should be viewed as a support lifeline for the provinces (Healy) as much as anything else. I understand why Mahoney got one, such is his importance to the Munster Movement, but I don't think Earls falls into the same category. I'd rather that wing slot went to Conway/Larmour or even Keenan.

Has anybody went from a central contract back to a provincial one before?

Loads, Dev most recent example I can think of. I think Jack McGrath had one at one stage. Cormac, Xan, JohnG or Mildygorey will know.

Cheers, I presume Earls will be reduced down to provincial one then, although this is the IRFU so he'll probably get a 2 year renewal.

Does anyone know if Craig Casey is playing for munster tonight, the commentators and pundits haven't mentioned him at all.

One player I genuinely didn't know was on the pitch until about the 70th minute was Andrew Conway.

Cloete is quite a cynical player.Just before his yellow card he tackled a Connacht player off the ball and just after he returned he tackled Jack Carthy late and high with a trailing arm.

The only aspect of the game that Munster were the more superior team was their maul. I doubt the Munster line-out has ever been dismantled so totally by any Irish Province in the modern era. Haley's try was a super effort but it was the sole demonstration of rugby skill by any Munster player.

I would like to be the first to congratulate Munster on a their magnificent acheivement of reaching a final. Only their 3rd in the last decade. They were last in the Pro14 finals in 2015 and 2017, hammered both times, in Ireland, by Glasgow and Scarlets.
Although they did get there by avoiding a semi-final, and y'know what Munster are like in semis!
Anyways, I just thought that I pass on, on behalf of us all, a big well done.
Plucky little buggers.

Well, it was the only time they beat us in the last 5 years.
Expect a Play about it soon enough.

So many bad exits. Usually followed by 2nd chances, also wasted.
