I would play both 9s at the same time switching them between 9/10.

Could not be any worse.

Jack Carty is a barometer I use to test the rugby intelligence of people and pundits. If they say he should play for Ireland I stop talking to them.

Making a great kick play once or twice a game doesn't make him the overlooked 10 for Ireland when the team has lacked direction for huge portions of the match otherwise.

There’s Carty and Buckley. Both are showreel players who wouldn’t get a game at any other province.

If Connacht are to improve they need a dedicated defense coach and at least two players in the pack who can give them go forward ball. Papali was a gamble from the start and one that hasn't worked out. Duggan and Robertson-McCoy aren't up to this level either.

They also need a 10 who isn’t a Finn Russell level flake.

meh, they play the game a certain way, they won the Pro14 that way. The IRFU need Connacht to continue to be the 4th province. If they grow too well they will be pruned back. But they can play fun rugby and entertain their fans.

They won the Pro14 with a proper 10 though who could be pragmatic when required.

It'd be real nice to have AJ on the bench for Ireland now and would have allowed Connacht to easily retain him.

I know but it would have been nice if he wasn't. The IRFU could really use him.

Rumours that Quinn Roux is off. A blow if it's true. It irritates me that the IRFU throw money at Munster when the one time they gave cash to Connacht under Lam they actually won silverware! Hope he stays as Connacht and Ireland could do with him.

Where he's going?
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Roux would be a massive loss for Connacht. Would absolutely take him back at Leinster for a few years!

Isn't he a smaller but similar player to Kleyn?

Physical at rucks and scrums but not a great level at handling/avoiding contact if possible.
