Question Ian, do you deliberately put the flag out on windy days for difficult kicks? Saw Ross B check it a couple of times for his second peno.

The flag is there every match and does move quite a bit in the wind even when furled. I do put it to the side for conversions so it is not in the line of sight of the posts. In my head of course every player on the pitch checks my flag and it influences every decision made on the pitch. :D

It was cool after the homecoming in May Stuart Lancaster thanked me because the coaches all looked at my flag to see what the wind was at. He said he didn't know whether the players looked at it. He obviously saw the tears in my eyes and reassured me that they never told him they didn't so they might. It was very distinctly a possibility  :?

Also slightly odd. Clermont changed jerseys at half time. Both teams were in navy and black. Clermont now in white.

With 17 minutes left the score is 41 - 33.

So 6 more points and we average a point a minute.

Oh they look. I like how you have it held for kicks though and standing through play. Big influence at home IanD.

There are no rivals, only imitators.

Toulon v Edinburgh
Worth watching just for Mata's offload on its own. Filthy, filthy, filthy!
I think they'll do Montpellier on Friday.

This weekend, Ulster take on Leicester in Wellford road.
Henderson starts with Cooney on the bench.
Will Ulster stand up and be counted?
Will Ulster fight?
Any comments
Any predictions.
Any thing?
The Edinburgh v Montpeliier game is on tonight.
Ulster could be qualified by 9:30 tonight, care to comment on that game and its' likely outcome.

Montpellier living offside, JP Doyle letting them away with it every time.

Excellent performance in the 2nd half, especially after falling behind. Well done cockers. Van de merve is some winger.

That Edinburgh LHP Schoeman must be the most destructive prop in Pro 14. He had Jannie Duplessis hauled off after 28 mins and then ground Chitichavva into 4 penalty concessions. Nobody can take any liberties with that Edinburgh scrum with W P Nel on the other side with McNally in the middle.

Only 1 prem team in to the knockouts again. This wont go down well over there. Something will be done, mark my words.

How about no more than two teams from any Pro14 constituent National Union.
A minimum of two teams from the PRL and Top14 respectively to qualify for the QFs and at least 5 in total.
QFs and SFs PRL and Top14 to automatically get home ties to allow for the fact that they have to cope relegation, pay caps and their respective National Unions.
At present two teams from the PRL can be in the same group, ditto the Top14 so why not the Pro14 as well.
