p.s. According to themselves, the rebranding cost a half a million quid. Wow!!! For that money I too would expect a groovy new logo with decent graphics (which, admittedly, they got).

Just watched recording of Bath v Quins where Bath got their first Premiership win of the season. Fascinating to watch some of the alterations in their patterns from last weekend against us.

Two particular elements stood out to me. There was real similarities in their defensive maul to ours - a five-man wedge with really low body positions and a forward in defence on each side prepared to join maul if any momentum was generated. The second element was the lines of running of forwards in mid-field with much more footwork and carriers targeting the 'pocket' behind the breakdown.

It will be interesting to watch their progress from here onwards. They have a number of good players and have just been searching for a successful pattern. Maybe they've found it.

I was keeping a particular eye on Genge during the recent Leicester victory/comeback in Galway and I must say, the added responsibility of captaincy seems to suit him. He didn't get involved in any argy-bargy and was most respectful, low-key and effective in his dealings with the ref. Fair play to him.

No promotion to the Premiership next season. Ealing and Doncaster failed to meet minimum standards. Largely based on not meeting 10,001+ capacity.
"Ealing Trailfinders does not currently have a licensed capacity, but the ground holds approximately 5,000 with 2,115 seats. "Doncaster Knights currently has a capacity of around 5,183 with 1,926 seats." says RFU, confirming it. They can appeal.
