RIP Nevin Spence

Post by ceemec »

Unconfirmed that Nevin Spence is amongst the dead in a tragic farming accident today.

Gang on UAFC seem to confirm.

RIP to those who are dead, regardless of confirmation. Speechless.

Such a tragedy. Fine player who would have been capped for sure, but frankly who cares about rugby at a time like this? Such an unbearable tragedy to befall a family. Hopefully his sister makes a full recovery.

Ulster player Nevin Spence, his dad and brother died tonight in a slurry accident in Hillsborough just outside Belfast.
Absolutely tragic news.

My thoughts & prayers are with the Spence family this evening following this awful news. Such a terrible tragedy to lose three members of the family in one incident. I hope his sister makes a full recovery. RIP.

Confirmed by the BBC.

Hard to express how I'm feeling. Didn't know him outside being an Ulster player. Feel like I've lost something tonight. RIP Nev, you'll be deeply missed. My thoughts are with your Mum and Sister.

terrible news, great player and thats horrendous for any family to have to suffer

know its only a small gesture on our (Leinster fans) part, and one of many we can make, but after his minutes silence in the RDS next weekend lets make sure we give him the biggest round of applause/cheer/send off/show of appreciation we can
