Duponts chip & gather to score was class. Sevens rugby is actually improving his game. Great strike move by Toulouse off that line out. Lancasteresque.

Kinda puts our performance in London into perspective. A match we should have (or could have) won against this Toulouse team.

Bordeaux were a bit shite but Toulouse just blew them away. I think this is a special Toulouse team to be fair with (in my opinion) the greatest we've seen playing at his best. Its going to be difficult for anyone to beat these guys in the next year or two.

There is no doubt that Toulouse are undoubtedly the best Club team in World rugby. But the URC is the most competitive League in Club Rugby and has now surpassed the Top 14 in that regard.

I look forward to a revised Strategy and Tactics from Leinster next season and believe that we can win a double, if we apply ourselves with the same attention to detail in basic skills as JS insisted on and adopt the innovation in our last third attacking play that Lancaster propagated.

was thinking the same when watching. Bordeaux seemed off their game, true, but Toulouse were magnificent. how we matched them for 80mins and almost snatched a drop goal win,

with snyman & barrett joining...I would love to see a rematch in cardiff in 2025.

That's true alright. I was a tad harsh in my previous post but it does seem like the URC is now the most competitive league in Europe, like RTB said, or even the world. Puts things into perspective a little bit.

The rugby world will be drooling about toulouse after tonight but if an honest referee had been on duty in London we'd be european champions.

Small margins.

I thought the referee performance from last night was sensational. Got everything right and let the game flow to a good amount. Suprised I've never seen him before last night.

I was at the london game and there were quite a few "WTF?" moments with the ref but that went both sides.
watching the bouclier final I was in awe and I have to say...it reminds me how much respect they paid leinster because they played a much much tighter game in London against us. smart. against bordeaux, they went for it and they have injuries on board too.

the rugby world is right to be drooling about Toulouse. they are brilliant. What the rugby world would love to see next may is a Leinster V Toulouse rematch in cardiff!

Have just finished watching it and have to agree. The complete annihilation of Bordeaux-Begles by Toulouse changes the complexion of our loss to Dupont et al in Tottenham. They put nine tries on UBB in the Top 14 final, whereas we kept them tryless over 90 mins in the ERCC endgame. As Leo rightly said after that match, the Frawley drop-goal goes the other side of the upright and we're having a completely different conversation.

Leinster should be there or there abouts at the sticky end of the 2024/2025 season. If our coaching staff learn the lessons of the unsuccesful run-ins of the last few seasons, we have an excellent chance of actually picking up some silverwear. Upwards and onwards!!!

p.s. Brennan óg looks a fine young second-row.

I was also at the game and thought the ref f*cked us over royally.
I am, however, notoriously one-eyed when it comes to Leinster and reffing.
