Tough to take.

Power game was our undoing once again.

Proud of the lads for that effort though. Bodies on the line.

Game turned when sexton tried to be a smartarse and it backfired. As soon as ross Byrne knocked that ball on we never got it back. Frawley should have been on instead. Ross was shitting himself the whole time he was on the pitch.

Power has no bearing on the match. We looked nervous the entire 80 mins. The backline was all over the place. The pack held their own. Sexton was very poor. Jgp and sheehan had huge games.

They deserved the win. We made far too many mistakes and never got going.

3 tries to nil. Enough said

Please no talk of power or size.

That wasn't why we lost this game.

I think that might be our chance of Euro success gone now for a good while. This was the one to win.

Sexton retiring, Sarries back in and Saffers adding to the comp. What a shame.

Agreed, we badly underperformed. And now the ROG-mania is going to be almost as bad as the result

Gotta take your hat off to la Rochelle, gutted. Youd have to say when sexton went off, it all went pear shaped

He wasn't great when he was on, but Ross was poor. His lack of athleticism at top level is a real hindrance.

When you play finals rugby you have to be your at your best on finals day - we weren't, La Rochelle were. We looked flat and our timing was off (and in fairness LAR contributed to that). The players looked nervous throughout, making errors that they wouldn't normally - Ross dropping the ball, JOB letting the ball bounce into him, not to single those players out in particular btw, just examples of the 1 or 2 percent most of the team were off.

There was never a better season to win but they never got going. Sexton was awful but can't blame him given how well he's played this year. Ross Byrne managed to knock the ball the 2 times he was passed it. Feel for the pack who did so well but fair play to lar, they deserved that today.
