Oooh what was said.
Cahill tried to bring up Hogg's hair as a banter piece, Flannery said that the player has said that he's sick of his appearance being talked about. Killed it stone dead.

HT: ENG 13-12 SCO. When England get their powergame going, they look like they could seriously steamroll the Scots.....

Hair might be a particularly touchy subject for Flannery. He’s got previous with it

By the way it’s totally fair for Hogg to take that position

Does the lineout after the penalty kick need to be layed or not?

If the kick is direct to touch, yes, but if the kicker taps it to himself and then kicks it, no

FT: ENG 23-29 SCO. So much for the Borthwick bounce...

That said, the two van der Merwe tries were absolute top drawer. Scotland had to play at the very top of their game to win that match. England still underperforming. Marcus Smith's marginally forward flat passes give me a pain. Marginally forward is still forward.

In other news: England seem to have abandoned their on-pitch huddle at the end of the first half - for all the good it did them today, LOL!!!

HD was trying to start some "banter" about Hoggs hair getting longer with every season.
Good stuff.

Farrell fairly effusive about improvements in just 11 days. Tells you what the players thought of Jones

Was the TV director today some trainee guy (or girl) trying to do new wave French style. Lots of shots of plays obscured by cameras showing people's backsides and a lot unnecessary cuts between long and medium range action shots. Missed out start of several plays too.

HT in Rome.
Italy shooting themselves in both feet and still in the game which is hard to explain, first match rustiness from France perhaps.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Fischetti the Italian loosehead is excellent. He’s got Dorisesque footwork in contact, keeps getting him extra yards.

Really wishing now we’d had France up first - they won’t be this bad two weeks in a row

Have to say though, Italy look very good going forward. Rock solid set piece, good starter plays, fast rucks. They will cause defenses problems if they can keep their players fit.

That was a really entertaining game - both coaches will probably have a full notebook of things they want to improve, but for the viewer, great craic.

Such a pity Allan’s penalty on 72 mins just went the wrong side of the post - they could have had a kick to win it at the end. Mind you, with the way Allan took the last two kicks to the sideline I’m not sure he’d have been up to a kick to win.
