I’ve been canvassing a fair few people around the province since the final whistle and they think he’s nailed on number 2 now and these are real rugby people.

Faz is big on "the group"; Ross is not in the group. He called out Casey, and Mccarthy in the answer about Crowley. Had to be prompted to talk about Ross.

Thought he was unlucky tbh, got out of the way and the ball was available but he was stuck on his back then and couldn’t move.
He didn't try his rather large arse to even look like he was trying to shift.

26 tackles for Josh, 23 for Doris. Some effort from those two!

I don’t think he has to once the ball is available.

Penalty wasn't against him as I recall - it was against Bealham, no?

That was another foolish one from Finlay.

Pen in 77th min was against McCarthy.

He tackled Samu, swung himself around into the ruck and then got stuck on top of the ball making it unplayable and slow.

It's as clear a 'not rolling' pen as you'll see, particularly at that stage of a game.

Something he needs to get out of his game as it didn't need to happen there at all and could've cost Ireland.

Delighted for Ross. He’s so good at those pressure kicks

Overall, it looks like the rest of the world has figured out how to stop the gameplan that beat NZ. We only really looked good in flashes this month. I think if we don’t try something different next spring we’ll get stuffed by France at the very least

In fairness we gave away loads of penalties throughout the game so it’d be harsh to single out anyone anyway, particularly Big Joe when the ball was available

I just don’t think we played enough of our game though. When we actually let Crowley play his game we looked really good I thought.

Yeah it is great to win. I grew up in the 80s & 90s when results like the ones we’re getting now were unthinkable. I don’t take it for granted.

I’m just saying we looked a lot less dangerous this month than we have since beating England back in March of last year

Yeah a seagull could’ve shat on the ball and then he seemed to get pulled on to it.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Our defence was superb. Our attack however, was slow, ponderous and very lateral. Australia really slowed down our ball at the breakdown aided by the ref who let them in from the side all game. Not sure quite how we won that game.

The match was interminable. At 9.20pm the match clock showed 46 mins played. At 9.30pm we had crawled to 52 mins played!

Tough, brutal match with officials who wanted to be noticed. Glad we won without a performance because it will limit the hype.
