Alex was born in Cork, spent his early years there and considers himself as a being from Cork.
He grew up as a Munster fan, and spend many of his early years visiting Cork during the summer.
However, back to my original point, where has the rumour of his move to Munster come from?

There's absolutely no doubt that we have an extraordinary middle-five in this team and all seven (including Subs) will graduate to the Senior game IMO. The front row, in particular, and the back three have yet to all establish their credential for such a future. All three second-rows look to have 'the right stuff' but, barring James Ryan, it has been difficult for players in this position to make real progress until their bodies mature fully, possibly at age 25 / 26 rather than 22 or 23.
Of the front row, LHP Haddon has looked the most promising and the young Wicklow man has progressed steadily over the past two seasons, both physically and with his skills.
Osborne and McErlane have demonstrated excellent skills going forward and today's game may give them an opportunity to show the defensive sides of their games.

Paddy McCarthy has played magnificently in the past two weeks. Disciplined, and really concentrated scrummaging and, as always, great in the loose.
Great work by Dundon and all the other Coaches alongside Richie Murphy have done a superb job of developing the skills and attitude of this group of players. Fortunately, they have a Rugby World Cup in Cape Town to look forward to. A few gems within that Squad and looking forward to how they progress.
Quinny almost sounded like he wanted to blame Leinster for having so many players on the U.20 Squad. However, he should look at the representation from Connacht and wonder where has Munster's development pathway failed, in relative terms.
By most accounts, the only green jerseys that the majority of Limerick young fellows aspire to is a Limerick hurling one. Playing for your country at the top of a world game isn't a dominant ambition in Limerick. And yet Munster players like Gleeson, Quinn and O'Connell are three of the stars of this Squad and surely they should be the players to attract young Munster lads of 15, 16 and 17 to play, possibly alongside them, in the Rugby World Cup of 2027 or 2031, in the green of Ireland, supported by the entire country.
Picking up players as they represent their private Schools in the Munster or Leinster Schools Cup is only one source of future Under 20 players. Their contemporaries exist in every Club in the Under 13 or 17 Youth Squad if only they had more encouragement.
