Any standout outside backs? I feel like there is plenty of well flagged prospects from 1-10 but don't know much about the backs, aside from the fact that Oji is massive.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑November 9th, 2022, 6:02 pm Potential starting XV:

Re: Ireland U20s 2023
Osborne and McErlean missed last season with injury, both have started this season well for Leinster A and in the AIL.scentofgunpowder wrote: ↑November 9th, 2022, 8:20 pmAny standout outside backs? Cooney was the standout centre in the schools cup last season and went well at 13 for Leinster A, he has been playing wing so far in the AIL.
Outside of them Shay McCarthy(Munster) was involved over the summer and Rory Telfer(Ulster) is in the Ulster academy and they'll certainly be there or there abouts when it comes to the squad on the wing.
John Devine from Connacht is a highly rated centre in Connacht but I havent seen anything of him.
The backs outside of Oji and Osborne certainly lack the size of last seasons 20s.
Ethan Graham from Ulster might be another to keep an eye on on the wing.
Maybe someone like Rueben Moloney(Leinster) may emerge but he hasnt played this season due to injury.

Hugh Cooney (Blackrock / Clontarf ) and Henry McErlean (St. Michaels / Terenure ) would be the two prospects in the outside backs . Re: Ireland U20s 2023
I have followed the U20's for the last few seasons and have always been delighted to see the results in terms of victories and also how the players gel and progress as a team. I am aware of a young Ulser prop, Jack Boal, playing number 1 for Queens University who is eligible for the U20's this year. He has played for Ulster & Ireland agre groups until now. How is he rated in the national rankings.
