There's some talk of banning contestable kicks from a safety perspective, but from a spectacle point of view, might be good as well.

They wouldn't need to. Fiddle with retreating defensive lines or how attackers ahead of the ball can run lines to stop conveniently to obstruct defenders to create breaks would be a far better optic than banning it outright. Something viewers generally don't have a fantastic understanding of anyway.
