Summer Tours 2022
So, some cracking rugby played today. The rebirth of Australia continues apace with a great 14 man win over England, and South Africa have just beaten Wales with the last kick of the game in a massively entertaining game.

Re: Summer Tours 2022
I really thought Australia were gonna get stomped, when England turned on their power game in the second half. But lo and behold they dug deep, were smart and got themselves a two try lead - and all that with 14 men. The score flattered England in the end, IMO.Dave Cahill wrote: ↑July 2nd, 2022, 6:39 pm So, some cracking rugby played today. Wales played above themselves. The red jersey effect was very manifest. At half time they'd a two try lead. Unfortunately they were so fired up, they shipped three yellow cards. That and repeated recourse to ye good ol' maul try off a five yard line out got the Boks out a hole. It was 29-29 at the death. A peno in extra time saved the home team's blushes.

Scum bag Hill got what he deserved. A beating. What a clown. Clearly taking lessons off itoje trying to act the big man. Difference is itoje picks his moments and does his dirty work where the officials can't see it. Hill just played like a thug. But a thick one.

Lamest ****in' "head butt" I've ever seen. More throwing shapes than anything else. Boot boys rule, ok!!!
Re: Summer Tours 2022
Agree. Should have punched him as hard as he could and made himself an Aussie hero. Hill was asking for nothing less.riocard911 wrote: ↑July 6th, 2022, 1:07 pm Lamest ****in' "head butt" I've ever seen. More throwing shapes than anything else. Boot boys rule, ok!!!

Exactly. He'd a ban coming one way or the other. Might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb, as the Daddyman used to say!hugonaut wrote: ↑July 6th, 2022, 2:13 pmAgree. HT: Oz 7-19 ENG. England look like they've the winning of this. Itoje went off just before half time for a HIA, while the Aussies were unlucky in the cards dept.. Genge should have seen yellow or even red for an elbow to the head of Nick White on the ground, but he was merely penalised; while their own winger got ten mins in the bin for a clear interception attempt, which Andrew Brace and Joy Neville called, incorrectly IMO, a deliberate knock on.

Re: Summer Tours 2022
I think if you go for those with one hand and don’t take them you can expect a yellow especially in your own 22. Could easily have been a penalty try.riocard911 wrote: ↑July 9th, 2022, 12:14 pm HT: Oz 7-19 ENG. England look like they've the winning of this. Agree Genge should have seen yellow. Only way to stamp that type of rubbish out of the game.

Joy Neville really likes to get involved as a TMO. Always seems to be doing England games too.

Wales!! Anscombe balls of bronze.
Re: Summer Tours 2022
Yeah. It was a shocking match, thought it was the 4th unaired Lions Test from last year
A win is a win though. Well done Wales, first test win in South Africa.

FT: RSA 12-13 WAL. Try at the death followed by a fabulous sideline conversion by Gareth Anscombe secures Wales the first ever win vs the Boks in South Africa. Turgid match though.
Re: Summer Tours 2022
Japan France was a cracker. France were very very very lucky to win.
The match just underscored how France without Dupont, NTamack and Willemse are not special, despite their player numbers.

Just saw the France Japan game. Excellent game but a very soft try for Japan to give away at the end. They'll be kicking themselves.

Re: Summer Tours 2022
Wales did well but it's interesting to see Wayne Pivac has essentially turned into Warren Gatland. Wales focusing on stopping the opposition and hoping for a breakaway score? The win in the second test should keep the pressure off Pivac for now.
