Well it's arguably Italy's sub-hooker's fault but yeah this is a mess

Yeah no point watching it. Its a no win situation for Ireland too.

We need to be putting up a massive score now. Am talking 60+.

No sure why Joey keeps looking to cross field kick. Just play the space.

Joey is totally overplaying this. We literally need to do nothing except suck in Italian players with the forwards and then get width on it with passing.

Would give Hume the second half for Henshaw who’s been poor

Lovely to see Michael Lowry equal the 6 Nations try count of Ireland’s greatest ever player. He should have done a little wave into the distance as he went over the line as a sign of respect.

VDF & Dan playing really well. Joey needs to cop on a bit. Kicking not good.

It's at times like this that you need your captain to get on job and remind his players that they have to maintain concentration and stick to the game plan
Didn't see that happening.

Carbery's kicking from hand has been so poor. No idea why he thinks it's a good idea to take risky cross and chip kicks against 13 men.

Not easy playing against a team trying to slow everything to a crawl and just going for a steal in the odd breakdown, but Irelands handling and accuracy isn’t good enough at the moment. Should be 60 or 70 here

Thought they would have a closer look at Bairds stand up tackle.

Dodgy enough slide in from the Italian defender for Lowe's second try

Despite the score, that was fairly poor. Not too many guys really stood up.

Thought Sheehan was very good. Herring showed when he was on why he's third choice now.

Doris & VDF excellent, Beirne good.

Baird is just an athletic freak. Funny enough I thought he showed more of the parts that we know he needs to improve when it was 15 v 15. That pickup was just class though.

Joey just flatters to deceive so much. He showed no game management at all and we looked far better with Johnny in there.

Henshaw looked rusty.

Back 3 were ok without really setting world alight. Not sure having three playmakers like that really works.

Two things I can’t stand. Carbery at 10 and Matt Williams.

No doubt we will have to listen to the usual media hacks trying to talk up Joey. Obvious difference in our attack against 13 when JS replaced him.
Henshaw had a shocker and POM was anonymous. Otherwise our players had decent individual games even if the team rarely gelled. Josh richly deserved MOTM

Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
