It's nice to see what happens when France's 3rd string team play England at their own game. England have no plan B.

France hard done by imo. Incorrect pen call in 79th minute after England knocked on.

+1. Totally correct. Farrell tackled with a French "poacher" also in attendance as well as the tackler, Farrell knocked on and then, on the ground, swiped the ball back to the English side whilst Brace awarded a penalty against France which England kicked into corner and mauled over from the line-out.

Brace was one-eyed in England's favour throughout the second half and wasn't helped by his ARs.

Hard luck France. Great display by your forwards and Dulin gave Farrell an exhibition why Keenan should the Irish full-back.

I think the ARs must have been wearing blindfolds. Gave no help to the ref.

That result may be of more benefit to France in the long run as they pay more attention to analysis of defeats than victories. Their decisions not to seek touch with long kicks from their 22m area were mystifying, given the pressure they were putting on the English line-out.

Superb pack-row and backs defensive performance and the English game plan not looking so impervious now, despite this win.

If I were French, I'd've been tearing my hair out!

Going from Rugbypass' statistics [link: https://www.rugbypass.com/live/autumn-n ... 020/stats/]:

England: 45 kicks from hand
France: 51 kicks from hand

Ouch.

However, it's quite funny to see Eddie Jones throwing his toys out of the pram and accusing various reporters of not respecting his players. He's forever trying to get under other peoples' skin, so it's surprising how easy it is to rile him up. His team played a horrible brand of rugby and limped to victory [at home] with a massive helping hand from the referee against a French second string. Whaddaya want, a biscuit?
