If the IRFU haven't already whispered some sweet nothings in Pat Lam's ear then there's something wrong in the State of Denmark.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

4 years coaching Italy will drag him somewhere between Eddie O'Sullivan and Brian KerrDave Cahill wrote:Conor O'Shea of course is always on the startlist

The view on O'Shea's abilities is probably exaggerated because he's Irish. Kidney and Schmidt came in as League and Heineken Cup winners with very impressive CV's. O'Shea's coaching career has been pretty mixed. He was an absolute disaster at London Irish. at Quins, a club with decent resources he won a premiership in 2012 and robbed SF of a challenge cup but ran out of steam in recent years. I also think that he was mentally exhausted by the time he left Quins and struggling with the pressure which was one of the reasons he took, what on the face of it, is an odd career choice. There's a lot less pressure, the only way is up and his involvement does not have the day to day intensity of a coach of a top European team. I really don't think that if he was a foreigner that he'd even be considered.simonokeeffe wrote:4 years coaching Italy will drag him somewhere between Eddie O'Sullivan and Brian KerrDave Cahill wrote:Conor O'Shea of course is always on the startlist

Will agree on his Irish bump but Quinns didnt have decent resources, they won a league with Evans aside that was largely academy and lower leagues based. They then suffered badly with international callups. The reign did peter out though
Italy wont even be a poison chalice its that bleak, poison sippy cup at best
