Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
Match back on and Ireland score a try from a maul to take a 5-0 lead after being under the cosh all the first half
Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
Shite - intercept try by France
Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
7-5 France
Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
France win 10-5. Cracking finish in fairness and a heroic effort from Ailis Egan in the loose but just not clinical enough
Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
At least the women did the business today with a 20-0 win. And I'm only now seeing that Italy beat France yesterday.
France still have a 20 point advantage but Scotland seem to the weakest team by far and Ireland will know what they need to do when they play them next Sunday.

Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
They were also the only Irish side to beat a Welsh side in the last 2 weekends.Donny B. wrote:At least the women did the business today with a 20-0 win. And I'm only now seeing that Italy beat France yesterday.

Think Ireland can win this next weekend but it will be a big effort and score needed

RTÉ Two will have live coverage on Sunday as the Ireland Women travel to Cumbernauld outside Glasgow to take on Scotland. Ireland will be looking to seal the Triple Crown and possibly the RBS 6 Nations title with a win over the hosts.
Daire O'Brien will be joined in studio by former Ireland Women's international Rosie Foley with commentary from Broadwood Stadium by Ryle Nugent and Ireland's 2013 Grand Slam-winning captain Fiona Coghlan.
The game kicks off at 1pm with coverage on RTÉ 2 HD and the RTÉ Player from 12.45pm.
The Scotland Women v Ireland Women game rounds off a busy weekend of live rugby on RTÉ Television with a live triple header of the final day of RBS 6 Nations action on Saturday as the Championship goes down to the wire.

Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
While it's great that they're covering the game it's so frustrating that the ladies have to be on the verge of winning before RTE can be arsed giving them the air time they deserve.
Really wish the IRFU would do a private deal with TG4 for exclusive coverage of the ladies games.

I thought Setanta had bid for the women's games, but we're turned down?
Kielys are showing the game Sunday.

Re: Shewolves (womens 6n)
Never mind just the tv why not let them play at Thomund, Donnybrook or Ravenhill/Kingspan instead of hiding them away at AshbourneXanthippe wrote:While it's great that they're covering the game it's so frustrating that the ladies have to be on the verge of winning before RTE can be arsed giving them the air time they deserve.

France beat England 21-15 so Ireland need to win by 27 points to take the championship.

Outstanding performance from the Ladies today.
Shame the gents couldn't wait a couple of hours and all get the same plane back.

Disappointed I couldn't see the game, but listened to it on the radio.
Great result for the women. Many many congrats to them and to everyone involved in the setup. They put the same effort in for a fraction of the recognition as the men get.
