Winning on the terraces/Giving Munster the Blues...

Post by fungalboy »

I believe we can and will outdo the "Red Army" in the singing/chanting on Sunday we just need to concentrate our resources. I think we should stick with two/three simple songs/chants:

1) Molly Malone (including verses). Leinster's song, plain and simple also huge rugby tradtions and easy to get going. (I'm not from Dublin before you ask.)
2) Allez Les Blues. Worked well on Friday and those who were in Toulouse have fond memories.
3) Leinnn-ster, Leinnn-ster, Leinnn-ster... (one of my favourites.) Can we use this with hands back and forth for Munster lineouts along the east terrace? Looked amazing in Toulouse, also makes it hard for the opp. hooker to hear calls.

{NB We should not use the "de de DeDeDe dededede LEIN-STER" chant as it can easily be changed to MUN-STER and there will be more of them than us, so it's better not to tee something up for them to rob.}

In addtion I'm sure the Ultras will throw in a a few rendtions of The Girve Song and if it could catch on then even better.

We need to make sure we use the bodhrans to good effect and only have them in the hands of people who will use them. The drummers need to keep the crowd going if they flag (you can't let your arms get tired SS & TB). Any word on Mullet's bass drum? I may be able to get my hands on another drum and will bring it along if things work out.

We should use Harryp's secret wepon to disrupt the start of the Connaught song and then rush in with a chant of our own. It's like a maul if they don't get any momentum they won't go far.

The flags looked great on Friday, love the big EU one BTW, so bring them along and get them waving. Actually can you buy blue/gold flags in Carroll's? Surely there are some Clare/Wicklow flags we could appropriate? Even Dub flags would be a great addtion.

Post any ideas you have for improving our visability/vocal outputs on this thread and let's spread the word. (No thread hi-jacking please.)

Anyway get in early, wear your colours and sing till you're hoarse!

I have six jerseys ready to go out on lend
Now that rugby's oldest bridesmaid has finally got hitched, she can cast a haughty glance towards Leinster, her high-living sister from Dublin, who, despite her immense beauty and vast potential, has trouble getting lucky.

I've got the ACC Bank one in white, the light blue and white hoops one, the navy blue one and the current home one. Mullet if you have 6 why do you always wear the focking canary yellow one?
